All UK spec Zs are 2+2 TT. No non-turbo and no SWB versions were sold here.

Econamy?

I get between 16mpg and 25mpg, but it is my day driver and I do mostly small trips and I have noticed a decrease during the winter.

Tappets? You can hear mine for about a second until the oil pressure builds up.

As for doing work, try to stay away from Nissan parts. If you can get parts from else where do it. They are often a lot cheaper and better.

Hi and welcome!!

got my lump in pieces at the mo. tappets aint too bad to do on these. its a right job getting the intake manifold off.

really got two options:

1. solid lifters, (i'm sure you know you will have to schimm these though!)

2. replace the original hydraulic lifters. remember though that there are 24 of em and how much they might be each.

check out courtesynissan.com and you'll find the standard ones on there at a good price.

best of luck

How do - thanks for being a newer newbie than me!

on 2 boring motorway journeys I got 24-ish mpg (manual TT).

Rear wheel bhp on unmodified J import 258 BHP at 6416 rpm.

Welcome & have fun. Most of this lot appear to be quite nice even tho' a little odd. ish.
