next question.....what the difference between a Carerra 4S and a carerra 4 tiptronic S. i would have thought that they were the same!

Depends mate whether its a 964,993 or 996 model 911. Carrera 2 is rear wheel drive and carrera 4 is 4 wheel drive. Carrera 4s whether 993 or 996 is 4 wheel drive with wide body as per turbo.

Carrera 4 is 4 wheel drive 3.600cc i think,,, maybe 3.2.

Dont try n race one on the lanes in ya Z.

Tiptronic is like auto box.

Its been a long time,, pre 85 911s im ok with,, and the only one that would worry my TT (on the street & strip) out of that lot is the 3.3 turbo,, but on a circuit they are one hell of a car, but you got to know how to drive em,, and many guys that own them dont.

Old git, all this talk of porsches!! did you ever have one of the older ones? You are right about the 3.3 turbo, one hell of a car. Use to have one a few years back and the power was brutal and also potentially lethal if you didnt respect it. No ABS, no power steering, no traction and wads of turbo lag. Anyway a picture of me old turbo, looked good for a 81 vintage

Nice mota mate

Yes Black with Martini stripes,,, a well known 930 in the Porsche club.

Also 911 S and Carrera 3 the one just before the SC.

But once you drive the turbos the others seem :xxx:

Never let off on a bend in any of em :nono: well not a tight fast one  not so much a problem on the new ones, i think.

Like you say Ronnie,, you have to respect the 3.3 930s,, its one animal that will bite back.
