I have just been thinking of selling my Zed and getting a MR2 Turbo (a little more practical i think)...

What are your guys thoughts?

What should i look out for? or should i rubbish the idea and stick to my Zed..

Have many of you owned a MR2Turbo? or thought about it?

All depends what you want from the car.. if your going to go down the modifying and thrashing route, get the mr2 its cheaper and easier to run, tune and fix.

If you want a grand tourer keep the zed. Both good, just different kinds of good.

Rev 1,2,3+ are all the mk2 version jus age of the car and power the rev one had 220 bhp standard but the rev2 onwards had 245bhp standard thats really the only difference.

actually there are many differences between the revisions. The rev 3 being by far the best.

revs 1 and 2 used mafs, rev 3's use map sensors

Rev 1 had smaller alloys as standard, different back lights, no abs or power steering, some think its a bit to dangerous as its the person driving it, not the car, but its by far my favourite revision, i like to know that i'm in control, not a hamster pressing buttons for different electronic units! The rev 1 also has stiffer suspension as standard and handles like a true go kart, mine will take ANYTHING i throw at it! Haven't found a bend yet that it won't fly round at stupid speed! The pic in my sig is the rev 1 with rev 6 light and panel conversion!

it looks good fingers... i like the wheels too...

do ZX wheels fit on MR2's? i have quite an attachment to my 18's

Rev 1 and 2 both had the 220 bhp engine. Also if you get a rev 1 like my white one the interior is a horrible blue colour. Rev 2 had better suspension and better alloys. Rev 3 had changed rear end and splitter on the front as standard. Rev 3 also seen the 245 bhp engine. IMO the rev 3 should have been the way they were made.

Revs 1 and 2 look dated now. My last was a Rev 1 with Rev 3 rear lights:

The pictures also show the standard rev 1 alloys as I kept the alloys when I sold it as you can see from the Z.

Rev 3 still looks like an amazing sports car, plenty of street cred if you can get past the hairdresser name callings.

Off the top of my head 1993/4 onwards. I used to use:
