should i de-cat my twinturbo or not?i have heard that if i do then my turbos will wear out more quickly.is this true and if i do de-cat what sort of gains will i be seeing?

from how i understand it, there is a possibility of the rear seals going, but if they do then they were on their way out anyway!

Yes there is a noticable power increase, but I'd only do it if you have the spare cash handy to replace the tubs if they do go (roughly about ยฃ1500 for fitting recon's). ;)

if your seals were on their way out, they will go quickly. if they were fine before, they'll stay fine. like Glenn says, just have the cash handy :eek: but most people will say they did the job and nothing untoward happened. im glad to say im one of the lucky ones too (touch wood)

Do it!! It made a huuuuge difference to my old TT, definitely worth the risk IMO. Then if it breaks, fix it :D ;)

Im still deciding wether to decat, cause I dont hvae much money to play with if the tub's do go as I just had my headgasket done.

But they did say the turbos looked fine and didnt recommened getting them recon'd
