i got a lazy cam belt tensioner which dosnt wake up when the car does lol its fine when its warm i been told to change the oil i was wonderin if there is anything else i can do until i get my hands on a new one????? :hyper:

Erm, if it's not tensioning the cambelt correctly, then don't drive it !

LOL no its not something you can tinker with,the tensioner is hydraulic and if it fails then your engine is likey to suffer damage,i think you have you wires crossed,never heard of a lazy tensioner :rofl: might want to get a 2nd opinion on whats at fault because changing the oil wont do ****all

well its noisey untill warm an sounds like the belt slappin the cam belt casing. if when the oil was changed the wrong grade was put in ie to thick then mabey until the oil gets warm the viscosity is to high makin the tensioner not do its job to its fullest extent

the fact that the belt is (maybe) slapping the case means do not start, put on trailer, and take it to someone who knows what they're doing! Chances are when/ if the cambelt was changed, the tensioner was skimped on - definitley replace not fix.
