Outer hicas joints

Is there a tool for pulling the ball joint out of the hub.

I can't get behind to give it a whack and I am worried if I do hit it too hard I will bust the hub.

Cheers, Scrawni.

The manual says to use a press, I drilled it cut it and hammered them out, I've recently removed all bushes etc and they were by far the hardest, I do have everything dissasembled from the carif you still have the hub on the car I dont know how you would get the ball joint out

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Scrawni,

Just unscrew the track rod ends from the ball joints its easier, unless you have one of them cantilevered ball joint removal tools where you screw up the pressure until it splits.

If you get stuck anywhere else just ask again on this thread...ive just done it all..including removal of the Hydraulics...re routing the pipe work to bypass the Hicas etc.

Thanks John but I can get the track rod end off the ball joint, it was getting the ball joint off out of the hub.
