When after fitting a Hicas eliminator I want to rid myself of unwanted hydraulics can I undo the hydraulics at the front of the Z down by the pump / reservoir.

 

The raeson I ask is that Ive got a blanking plug which is hard to fit and I thought that If I could get the hydraulic lkine cut up front I wouldnt have to fit the plug.

We was going to block off the pipe from the PAS tank to the hicas pipe but in the end we just cut off the banjo that ran from the hicas pump to the power steering pump hance making a loop and you can then just remove all the rest of the hicas system ;)

I take it that the HICAS Pump / Power Steering Pump is all in the engine bay.

 

Any idea how to get to the banjo ??

Basically unplug pipe 2

Cut the banjo off pipe 1

Push pipe 1 onto where pipe 2 went

 

Its messy as you get PAS fluid everywhere but what you have done is cut the hicas loop out of the system so saves having to block up the power steering pump and means you can remove the pump from the front and back and theres 2 pipes which go from the front hicas pump to the long pipes that run to the back, theres a connection below where the battery is at the bottom which you can undo.
