Hello,

I have just become the proud owner of a newly imported 300zx twin turbo its very un abused and is completly standard so standard infact that it doesnt even have an alarm on it which is a must specially with the area i live in.

Has any one fitted an alarm on there car or know of a place where i can find info on fitting it such as what colour wire is what and where it could be found.

i started to fit it today and realised after stripping out the underside of the dash that i could not find a way through the bulkhead for the looms to go through is there a way through the bulkead or would i need to drill a new hole?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Jim

I found one near to the steering wheel column, not sure what the hole was used for, but it was filled with a mastic type filler so easy to pierce for my boost gauge.

Paul.

where abouts in kent are you bud?

you can run wires through the grommet for the bonnet release cable - you will need to drop the o/s/f wheel arch liner down but is a simple route :)

Cheers guys thats a big help i was dreading the hours of tracing and testing wires in the confined space that is the drivers foot well.

Looks like i will be taking out arch liners then, i could not see any gromets near the steering column but i will double check i think if you have the auto version it might be the blanked off hole where the clutch vacume chamber passes through.

My car has developed a wheel type wobble which seems like its coming from the passenger rear wheel it only occurs around 50ish and dies down above 55 and is not present at all below 45 i only noticed it after a bit of heavy breaking leaving the car to rest for about an hour then coming back i think it could have been caused by my breaking efforts and think it may be a warped disc or even a ceased or sticky cylinder has anyone else encountered the same problem?

I live in medway near maidstone Paul C you?

cool just down the road then.
