hello got in car this morning started it up and the fan kicked in straight away as if it was overheating.i turned off the car and checked the water level and everything was fine.drove it approx 20 mile and started to overheat so i stopped and found that my radiator has droped down slightly causing the cap to press against the frame next to it.could this have caused it to loose water and overheat if it was pushing the cap away?it took about a litre and a half of water then the fan went off and is running ok now.cant see how the radiator is mounted to see what has made it drop.any ideas on any of this?

It has rubber feet that rest in grooved mounts in the bottom, and is held in with the top mounts screwed into top crossmember.

It should'nt be able to slip out of its mounts at the bottom if its bolted in correctly at the top, unless its rubber feet are missing.

My car threw all the water out a while back turned out the rad was flowing very little water. Binned the rad and all's fine now.
