Hi

I'm currently driving an MR2 but lookin for a wee change and the 300ZX is top of my list just now, but I need some info and can't find what I'm looking for. These are basic things I need to know before I start going searching for one...

What is the standard BHP of the import and UK TT?

What is the 0-60 of the import and the UK TT?

Are there any differences in models for the years that they came out? i.e. in MR2's there are different Revisions, which tend to have different brakes, wheels, changes in styling?

What's the differences between the normal and the SWB? (apart from one is shorter)

I've had a look about the site for quite a bit and cant find the info I need (im not a good looker) but there are a few Z's for sale that have caught my eye!

Cheers guys

Welcome

Twin Turbo (Euro and Jap)

280 bhp - 300bhp (Jap & Uk apparantly 280bhp and U.S got 300bhp)

283 Ib/ft

0-60 : 5.5 secs (typical average)

0-100 : 14.5 secs

1/4 Mile : 13.8 - 14.2 secs

Top speed : 170 mph + (Uk restricted to 155mph and Jap to 112mph)

Although, Car and Driver in 1992 got the following figures from a Manual SWB TT :

0-60 mph: 5.0 sec.

0-100: 13.1 sec.

Quarter Mile Time: 13.7 sec.

Basic mods (exhaust, filter, chip, 1bar boost) will see approx 350bhp(fly), 0-60 drop under 5secs, and 0-100mph drop to around 12secs

An excellent site shown difference can be found here : http://www.300zx.org.uk/mod_comp_0.htm

The SWB is a 2 seater, the LWB is a 2+2. Its said that the SWB offers more responsive handling, and the LWB offers better high speed cornering stability.

All UK Specs are 2+2 LWB Twin Turbo Targa.

Imports were available as NA, TT, SWB, LWB, Slicktop(hard roof), Convertable

Cheers Legrath!

That is exactly what I was looking for!

Now I'm gonna do some more studying n then start looking for my car!

There's a beautiful UK spec twin turbo in the for sale section. Thats right, its mine! Full service history to! :D

Nearly Dave, UK TT's hit the limiter at 165MPH!!! 155Mph Is German stuff like Beamers and Mercs, we got an extra 10MPH!!!!

When my UKTT First went on the rolling road before I chipped and de-limited it - it got to 165MPH on the rolling road speedo then wouldn't let it rev any higher!!!
