i was paying £52 a month anyway for two sky+ boxes

it SHOULD mean the best pictures ever seen on tv

and SHOULD mean dvd quality via the box

and finally use the potential of h/d plasmas and lcd tv's

im running my xbox 360 in hd and the difference is huge, however if your on freeview i wouldnt get hopes up as they dont have the bandwidth, so only hd viewing is going to be through sky or (cr*ppy Ntl).

Sounds great mate.

I just have a crackly wireless tuned to medium wave. lol.

but cheap though lol

i got over the outrage of paying for sky years ago, and must admit sky+ is the dogs danglies, pause live tv, record stuff to a hard drive, and never forget to record something if you have a series link,

i watch a lot of footie so want the best picture possible and sky is always the first with the new technology, but so they should be the cash they earn

You got an HD telly then aswell?

no not seen it m8

but what convinced me was our two sky+ boxes are in our bedroom and the other in the lads, i wanted a third for her in the living room but the lnb would only allow for two boxes, with hd they have also brought out a new lnb for more outputs:)

so now she can tape her own rubbish on sky+ :headvswal

Few comments as I work in the business,

HD is much much better than a normal DVD. Its like looking through a window (we have a display in our shop)

DON'T buy an LG set. Sony Bravia's have the best picture closely followed by Panasonic Viera's.

Yes it is expensive, but worth it. Wait til you see the picture! Also you can download American programs like Lost and also films and watch them from your computer providing you have a DVI out on your comp.

Lastly, Billy can I come round yours for the world cup?!

I get lots of HD....hight distortion on my TV at the weekend when I have had a few.... :duffer:

Only cost me £16 every Friday night.... :D ......

FOOK all on the box anyway...LOL.... :D ........Eastenders at the mo....

The Mrs is addicted........ :nelson:

Schweeeeet. Sounds good. :D

total ripoff imo, there will only be a handful of shows presented in HD anyway. In the states almost all new shows are in HD and its not expensive.

Yep and Japan have had HD for years! But as per usual we get shafted for "the latest gimmick" ;)

I have been thinking about getting a HD TV and the sky upgrade but not going to bother until its more widly braodcast. My son wants an HD TV for the XBox360 and I have seen it on one and its worth it. But I will wait.

What about the thousands of people who brought non hd ready plasmas and lcd tvs .Why wernt they all hd ready in the first place they must have known about high deff tv thanks taff.
