If anyone wants a laugh, tune into BBC Parliament right now. Apparently we're opening lots of offices abroad which are designed to assist people wanting to leave their countries through the immigration process into the UK. I've never seen a display of such namby-pamby/half-arsed speeches in my life. This country has totally lost direction. FFS some of these offices are in terrorist-harbouring nations. :rant: :mac1:

On a similar vein thought, one Grown Brown statement that made me almost physically sick, was when in praising some new set of speed cameras, he glowed and enthused about two streams of traffic all driving in processions along the road. Nose to tail cars, all doing exactly the same speed, they invented a replacement for that, and called it a train! How long before all individuality has gone, before the insurers stop covering any mods, and before we all have to drive a Toyota Prius.

 

And on the subject of leccy cars, the dumb politicians (all sorts) and Ken Livingstone seem to forget, that the electricity has to be created somewhere, and today this is mostly by fossil fuel power stations, so the idea that these cars are 100% environmentally friendly is very wrong . Also, if we all changed to electric cars, there wouldn’t be enough power available, and this government cant make its mind up on wind, wave, nuclear, or (don’t say it loud) oil and gas for the future, so you might only be driving to work in the morning, if its been windy at night.

 

I’d vote for the party that ditches the Jags and buys Zs not Toyota Prius’s, because I’d know that they are being honest! Then they’d convert these multiple occupancy lanes to fast lanes on the motorway, and restrict there use to fast cars only.
