Falken 451's

Good price, and good performance

Check http://www.mytyres.net

Ofcourse if you can stretch the budget, then Goodyear F1's are outstanding

(although its ofcourse preferable have the better tyres on the rear rather than the front)

F1s are some of the nicest tyres to drive on but don't last long.

I've had a problem with Falken's recently but they should be ok.

Dunlop 9000s seem like a good compromise. http://www.blackcircles.co.uk

My F1's have done 12k so far, and still have loads of tread .....which means they last me about 3 years,

Wow they would last me about 6 months then !!!!

Only joking.......

(>30k miles per year in my Z)

I just changed to Toyo Pro-ox 1r's myself and am quite enjoying them....

Interestingly Me & my missus took her RX8 to pro drive recently and saw graphically the difference tyres can make:-

Pro driver in nicki's car with Bridgestones (the tyres the car was developed with) ACE,

vs. Same driver, same model car with Pirelli's (the company Pro-drive have their sponsorship deal with) WEAK. The difference was amazing.

Mind you My missus also has had her RX8 lowered 30mm but even so the difference was obvious with the squealing noises and the whole poise of the cars. The pro drive guys said 'we would love to drive with the bridgestones' but don't tell pirelli we told you that!

Chris

F1's  couldnt fault - excellent.

Im now running Nexen N3000's - again - TBH Cant tell the difference between these and F1's. Theyre obviously not as good as price reflects but they grip enough for me :)

Where did you get x2 F1's for £220?????

Very cheap!

F1's are the way to go, i paid £220 for a pair 17" 255

Just got a pair of Falken 451's in 285/35/18 for £93+VAT each :D

Put a post up about it the other day.

Tyre time for me as well. Just phoned 2 local tyre deales for 245 46 ZR16, and no f1's anywhere, not even in the Goodyear 2006 catalogue!

Have had to go with Toyo T1-R at £96 a corner (inc fit balance etc), which should be fine, although I love the F1's.

STS in my area are currently offering Goodyear Eagle F1 at around 140 quid each in a sale.

Does anybody use Avon ZZ3s

I have had these on other cars and think they are the mutts nutts and I'm very hard on tyres.

Would likr to know if they perform on the Zed before I commit to them.

Cheers, Scrawni.
