Just done a error test as the informeter said I have 2 error codes stored

I got

2--1

and

1--2

Ignition sensor circuit

Airflow meter

The maf one was caused by me not connecting the Maf and starting it

could the ignition one be caused by me fitting a grounding kit the other day as I have no running problems at all.

Can I clear the codes in anyway so I can see if it was caused by me or actual faults?

Cheers Guys

if you disconnect the battery it just resets the ECU. Doesnt mean that the fault will get fixed.

HTH,

Dave G

prob just cos uve disconnected things. so may be an old code.

ecu can be reset by entering diagnostic mode and exiting again. (not just by switching off the ignition)

or as mentioned disconnect the battery.altho using this method you might not leave it long enough and end up with the code still in memory which can cause ball ache.

on a consult it will tell you how many starts ago the error came in to effect could of been 150starts ago,now if you came to z-tech today we could of checked/cleared the errors  :)

no need, just reset the ecu yourself, if the code clears and doesnt come back then it was an old code in the memory and all is well, if its still there or comes back soon after, then theres a re-curring problem

well i never knew that PMSL

well i never knew that PMSL

well the info wasnt really for your benefit. smart arse, no wonder folk dont bother replying to threads these days

to many smart arses on here!!!!!!!we are all just trying to help!!!!

yup, totally grits my shit on here. some folk think their an expert/know it all cos they have a consult, because they can changed a spark plug on their mates Z, or read a post of someone elses bullshit and pass it off as their own expertese. They'd rather write 2 sentences of abuse or smart arse bullsh*t than right the one sentence that could turn someones query on here from a weekend ball-ache to a 5min fix.

have a nice evening

Take a chill-pill, as Greg works at ZTech, so he should know what he's talking about!

It often happends on here and other places, that someone answers a question, and later someone else will say the same thing, so what? It just goes to show that the answer was correct in the first place. After all, it's better to have something confirmed than only receive one response.

WHO CARES ANYWAY THE BLOKE (GREG)SEEMED A BIT SARCASTIC TO ME

sorry about spelling.... :nana2:

And once you've been here long enough, you'll come to realise that it's called 'Banter'.

greg is a decent chap and knows his stuff

if you look at the tone of his threads he has a dry wit and humour ( and no im not saying greg is witty ;) )

But he is ready on the help side for most people as are a lot of folks on here.

I for one appreciate his help on the occasions he has replied to my threads and also appreciate all the help i get on this site, remember that all we see are the written words which can be picked up wrong without the visual clues we would get from body language.

Take a breath , relax , and step away from the keyboard, there is nothing to see here.
