Ryan at Ztech changed my heater matrix about 13 - 14 months ago. This morning as i drove off i noticed a trickle of water running into the passenger footwell, no discernable smell and the heater worked fine. However the screen would not de fog, no matter how hard i tried and as i was driving i noticed a little bit of steam coming from thefloor

come to drive home tonight, let her warm up as usual for about 10 minutes, leaving work the trickle started again screen fogged up massively (we had a 20 minute thunder storm) and would not clear at all, no fun driving in the pissing rain, and having to keep wiping my windscreen so i could see out, heater blowing full on screen, no matter what temp, would not clear.

All in all i would say probably a cup of water, if that in total???

So, is my heater matrix ****ed? and if so how come it didnt even last a year and a half ffs!!! how come when the last on was the original and had been in for 15 bloody years!! :headvswal

I dont understand how it can only last this stupidly short time? can someone explain??

And can i get a quote for a new one fitted please?

in the meantime any tips on de misting so i can drive!!! (btw my aircon has been disconnected so cant use that either.)

really bloody annoyed!!

It could be the valve on the side of the matrix thats sprung a leak or the rubber gaskits which seal the pipes that screw onto the matrix , i would,nt have thought the matrix would corrode that quick
