Bumper arrived today.Not bad for 110 squid.Took it down to my paintman who says he has seen worse bumpers and people have paid alot more for them.So seems a bargain and hes doing a good deal on paint.

Just front so far.As for the rear i havent decided to do yet...

I could get the back bumper re-sprayed to get it looking good,Monza under spoiler or an aftermarket bumper though im a bit worried about my exhausts not fitting though gaps in the bumper.

I think Black as well though silver would show the venting a bit more but might look a 'bit too much'

Not made my mind up about the scarab type front bumpers, purely because they don't match the rest of the car, ie, no swage lines, deeper and wider than the car. With the right body mods to the rest of the car, they can look very good.

 

Deffinately black mesh, silver mesh generally is not nice.

 

I prefer a world without mesh though. lol

As for the numberplate,is it legal to mount it on the mesh itself?or would i get pulled by the Police as its not on an extremity of the bumper?

Mr Red, you have the Wings West front bumper, very similar to the scarab, but yours will be urethaine, same as a standard bumper.

Cheers mate i was wondering if anybody else had read that part.....

I had noticed on a few other cars that people had mounted on the mesh and though it looks better than on bumper as spoils the shape of the bumper.

Do it like mine, just 2 small strips of aluminium bent into brackets and screwed on.

You can also adjust the angle of the plate for aerodynamics or camera avoidance :rofl:
