Has anyone got a D.A.B. setup in their car and is it what its all made up to be? I am thinking of getting one for my 300.

Thanks.

I've been wanting to do this as well. My Alpine headunit is DAB ready and all I need is the DAB receiver-gizmo. Unfortunately it costs in the region of £300 (which is about twice what I paid for the headunit!) so I guess I'll have to do with whatever comes over the airwaves for now.

I did hear it's not all it's cracked up to be (DAB that is) as national coverage is not complete.

Would be good to hear from someone who's got it working though.

Check this out dan'. I have been doing the search thing and found this mate:

Or this one for head units:

I like the REVO product - looks smart. Only thing is that in addition to a mobile phone kit, GPS Navi PDA and radar detector it's going to get rather clutterred in and around the dash! ;)

Ultimately I'd like to build in a screen, have DAB radio and Freeview TV, surround sound hifi, GPS Navi and speedcam overlay and ConZult all in one.

Ahhhhhhhh, keep dreaming I suppose (for now anyways).

In the meantime, if you happen to come across an Alpine DAB unit (not a headunit but additional DAB tuner/gizmo) then please let me know.

I've had dab radio for over a year now and i think really good.

I can still use standard fm but never do.

Very clear same as cd, signal is either there or not mind, if you follow.

Dab aireal was about £40 mark, roof rubber mount. I put it just behind centre of targas

I might just invest then. They do have a good write up but nothing like hearing it from the horses mouth as they say.
