Are the NA & Turbo front disc's and pads the same fitments? Need a new set for the front at the best price and all that are listed are TT ones?

Thanx in advance.

Ahhh Come on guys someone must have the definitive answer. I have done a search on this site (which i always do before posting)and read several different things, but no clear answer. On zx.org it deffo says 91-92.2 all TT & NA have the same 30mm calipers, but on here it has said jdm NA all had 26mm and only us spec went over to 30mm. Z control nets brake kits all say TT or NA except NA 1990 which need 26 mm. I really got to nail this as i don`t want to buy stuff that won`t fit or i don`t need. I would go and do a measure up but am without the vehicle for a few days!

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks.

As far as I know early NA's had different discs, its not too difficult to upgrade an early NA to TT discs and in my opinion it is worth while doing as TT discs are readily available. You would need these to do it.

Think mine would be the 30mm being a 04/91. As far as i can tell it was only 1989/90 NA that had the 26mm caliper. Meaning all 91 on TT and NA ran the same 30mm calipers (steel/alloy), discs 30mm x 280mm and same pads. This is how i have read it!

Thats the thing as without car and need to make some decisions. Oh well will have to be patient.

I have a 93 (Series 2) NA and it is only very late Jap NAs that have 30 mm discs (probably after 95/96). I am very sure that your 91 model will have 26 mm discs. Mine had 26 mm set-up and I have now changed to TT set-up with 30 mm discs.

Believe that US spec NAs got 30mm discs earlier (during 91) compared to Jap spec.

my 91 NA (obviously a japanese import) had the thinner disks and calipers. The NA disks are difficult to come by. AndyZ (traders) some times has them (2nd hand) and I'm sure MrF in the traders could also get you some - he's a real wealth of info.

My 97 NA has 30mm disks. They are easy to measure...

Good luck

This makes sense. The Info I have shows a change in 91 for the NA to 30mm discs, but reports from other members show that this is'nt the case. Must have been for U.S only.

It would be cheaper and simpler to upgrade to a TT setup, there are plenty of TT calipers lying about after owners have Upgraded.

At the moment need to keep this as cheap as possible, so anyone know who sells the 26mm disc in the uk?

However, I believe you would be able to get a decent 2nd hand set of 30mm Calipers and Discs for much cheaper than new 26mm discs
