PRVR Removal

Hi folks,

 

Lookin at a thread about bypassin the PRVR system, what does this do and how would it affect the car by takin it out, basically is it a worth while job?

Pressure regulator vacuum relief. System to boost fuel pressure for starting and if fuel temp high.

No real downsides to binning it as it's not required in this climate. Also, the tank can fracture and cause loss of fuel pressure.

To bin it just link the FPR vacuum signal directly to the plenum. You can then bin the solenoid, one way valve and tank.

wish yu took some pics of what and how you binned it.

ditched the prvr the same time as the aiv's, if you follow the vacuum lines back from the plenum, some got to solenoids on the bulkhead and down under the front wings. bin the lot!

 

the manual (like on andyp's site) points out all the bits and pieces, and theres a techie bit on one of the aussie sites thats quite good.
