Looking on the online manual I can see where the engine number is stamped. Drivers side I believe at the rear. Unfortunately I dont think you can see this without removing the engine? :(

Also the VIN plate was damaged /removed from my car.

 

Is there another vin plate or chassis number stamped anywhere on the car.

Same goes for engine - My V5 Reg book has a chassis number but I get a feeling DVLA inspection are gonna wanna see the chassis number somewhere on the car. I think they want the engine number too

Yes, the engine No is on drivers side at rear, and as I recall, near impossible to see.

 

There is another VIN No stamped on the engine bay bulkhead (on UK cars anyway), just below the bonnet rubber seal, below where the nut secures the passenger side windscreen wiper.

anyone - inspection is tomorrow :( Getting worried now on what will happen if they cant find chassis number or engine number.

well, it looks like the chassis number is also stamped on the bulkhead - Cheers Ryan (Baggins). :bow:

you get a chasis number and the engine number stamped onto the bulkhead. but good luck finding a vin. im in same boat
