Anyone have an idea as to how much leather would be required for an interior re-trim on all the panels in an SWB. (incl. the ones behind the seats)

Don't include the seats as I'm getting pre-made covers for them.

Ta very muchly

Ive been told by some to watch out for the pre-made covers.

Reason - foam wears and compresses so seat covers are loose.

I havent seen it - just had some PMs because its exactly what Im looking into at moment.

Started to do retrim myself but am in the process of getting some quotes in mate.

yeah around what he said i ordered 4 metres for mine and still got plenty left over :)

So is that 4 metres by 1 meter wide ie 4 sq meters which equates to roughly 40 sq ft???? (I've been advised that 50 sq ft should be enough.)

is it real leather your after or leather look vynil(so much easier to work with)

if you get vynil its cut off a roll 1.4m wide so if you ask for 4m you'l actualy get 4m x 1.4m if that makes sense.

where as the leather i got for my seats came in the shape of a cows back and i cant remember if he said he needed 3 or 4 hides to do the 2 front and back seats,

if you fancy your seats doing pm me and il send you the trimmers number who did mine, if your interested.

I'll be having the interior done in leather and trimmed by a coach trimmer close to home (Knaresboro).

The guy who's supplying the seat covers is also supplying matching leather for all the panels as well and is offering a discount for that.

It was good to meet you and the wife lat Sunday at what was a fantastic meet.

I think we'll let Sheffield Utd have that second place now.

Cheers

Hiya, dunno if it will help, but a full retrim on my front seats took just over 1 full hide, say about 55 - 60 sq.ft...

if you need to buy any leather, pm me and i'll put you in contact with the guy i use on ebay, hes reasonably priced and is very helpful, probably averages out about 80 - 100 for a full hide..
