Haha, just laughed at the description dude...like I said, some people may disagree...

I ran some quotes before buying,

To be honest the majority of insurers base their policies on the area you live in as well as age.....for example I live in London and occasionally Birmingham and you don't get any dream car insurance there I can tell you.

 

Tis true though, the UK cars are almost half the price to insure on average!!

Yeah, I think also they consider how much it would cost them to replace body panels etc so they assume all imports would be £££ to repair. Ridic seeing as the UK cars have exactly the same shell as a Jap import! Stupid really but you see why I put young drivers dream car! All my mates drive fiestas!

tbh I was expecting insurance to be alot higher than it was, I am only paying about £70 more than I was for my 2.0 Vectra

Maybe one day they'll pull their heads out of certain other parts of their anatomy and realise its exactly the same car!!!!!

 

Annoying thing is that my car is a Jap shell with a Uk engine but I have to pay Import insurance because of the chassis number...unless anyone knows any different??

I'm paying £50 more on my Zed than on my old 1.8 Cavalier Daily runabout. Mine's an import. Wouldn't buy a UK spec car unless it was in similar condition to Glenn's.
