Does anyone have a link so I can find out what cd changers work with what stereos. Paul.

I think that new ones work with most. As long as the connectors are the same. Cos all that the Stereo does is send a signal to the changer what CD and what track. The music just comes down to the stereo in normal audio.

Let me know what you have and i`ll let you know what will go with it. Most will only work with a changer of the same make but some factory fit units will take different changers with an adaptor lead

It's just my sister has a factory fitted stereo in a s reg golf and would like a changer instead of changing the whole lot.

Don't know what make it is tho.

Been looking on the auctions and there are some reasonable priced 2nd hand ones.

Hey Bob, got a couple of questions for you. Will a new kenwood changer work with an old kenwood head unit (available only in japan)? If so then how much can u do a 6 disc or a 10 disc for? Also what do you need to do to fit 6x9's in the back?

If it`s the Sony head unit then you`ll need a Sony changer, if it`s the Beta or Gamma head unit then a Panasonic 6 disc will do the job with an adaptor lead.

Really!?

The lead and bracket are still in the car just the changer itself was nicked. and can 'have it?'. I dont want to be a charity case so give me a price for it unless you really want to give it away.

Thanks loads been looking for ages biggrin.gif
