Trying to get my rear and 3/4 windows tinted (20%)

 

tint is already on but poorly done.

 

Took it to one company and after cancelling the first time, the second time he decided to put summit like 8 miles on my car then didnt have time to tint it :rant:

 

Took it to another lad who had a go but cant remove existing tints - He said it'll have to be scraped off which will damage rear demister. :(

I tint windows for a living.

Never seen a diy job that comes close to the quality that most tinters manage.

Well I would say that wouldn't I?

 

Suppose it's like, for example, putting up a shelf.

DIY - yeah it's maybe a wee bitty down at one side and not quite close enough to where you wanted it, but it's close enough. Pat on the back - I did that. :)

If a joiner did it, you'd be a bit annoyed, so the joiner gets it right ad charges the dough.

 

Be careful with the razor - some can scratch some windows.

Peeling tint - good advice, bit of heat, flick at the edge and peel, but very slowly. Hope that the tint was decent stuff to start with or it will peel in little strips.
