I started a consultancy job for a firm in London at the start of the year and since then have done only 10 days work. This is due to politics with clients etc but to be honest, I get paid to sit at home and it is doing my head in.

I am seriously thinking of quitting and going contracting so I have more freedom, but it means less security...but the other up side is more money for the zed!!!

So another day of getting paid to do no work...weather too crap to enjoy the car...should I stick it out or just say fook 'em and go elsewhere???

If your getting paid to stay home, then why the hell are you thinking about quitting? just do the other work while your supposed to be home.

oh, and stop showing off, we all hate you especially us guys who work in the rain lol

I know what you mean Angus.

I am getting paid to do nothing at the moment. and infact I have begged to do something.. ie anything.. ok i have a back related problem so were in differant circumstances.. but get a pt job.. if work picks up great.. keep your current job and be lucky.

Can't argue with that. There's loads of things you can do from home.

part of my job is building business models for a focus group that i have to sit on and it is bloody boring. they do not like it when i remind them that the reason we p1ss money out on our support service is because we pay them. but still nice cakes at lunch and the scallops are good at night ;)
