Hi All

I have seen this car I want to buy, but not being great with cars I want to get a vehicle inspection.

The guys the AA recommend (DEKRA) won't touch it as it is over 15 years old.

Any ideas?

Please also check out Thread 'Help Help Help' as there are more questions I need help with.

Thanks

you're not going to get a professional inspection of any value on it as:

1. it's too old

2. it's too specialised

i.e. you're not going to get a warranty from any inspection you have on it. Your best bet is to use the buyer's guide above, and if you can a member from here to come and have a look with you - as they'll have a better 'gut feeling' about the performance/ handling etc than you.

I agree, thats the guide i printed off to go and get mine. The salesman looked well baffled when i sat in the car with the check list going through everything LOL. Worked though. Never had any probs. Except the gearbox FFS. Somtimes one of the lads near to you will very come and have a look with you. Good luck buddy!!

Don't know where the car is based but we can come and have a look at it for you?
