hi guys my jap tt 1991 is fantastic ,but it came with tein adjustable suspension, only ride height not dampning,looks fantastic ,so whats the problem i here you say,well iam getting on a bit ,and the suspension is a little should i say, sporting[bloody hard].any way i was thinking of changing it and was wondering what you guys would suggest,standard springs and shocks?standard shocks and lowering springs?or new coilovers? the thing is i want a nice smooth soft ride without all the banging about .any advice would be great help.

prob going back to stock would be best for you.

 

or stock springs with KYB adjustables on a soft setting

just noticed - am in canterbury too! you could try mine with KYB's & Eibachs, tho i have upper & lower arms with bearings fitted too, so mine is very firm LOL!

cheers bud your Eibachs,how much did they lower your baby.my son had Eibach springs and standard shocks on his 200sx and they seemed great,but as ive got the tein on there at the moment would it be best to buy some s/hand standard ,so ive got the top mounts etc then change the srings for the Eibachs would that be the cheepest option,spose i could always sell the Tein setup on the site.cheers

they lower by 0.8" which is just about right IMO :)

I replaced the lowered coilovers that were on my 97 NA with standard NA items from AndyZ at £25 a corner. Easy job. Then sell the kit you remove to a younger person.

im from just outside canterbury 2! my zed is a 1990 TT, on standard suspension, sure we could sort out a deal if u wanted to swap them? im back in a few weeks so could be and idea? as suspension is about the only thing that isnt modded on my zed.
