whilst having a conversation last night with my work mates about millages in our cars and vans I thought it might make a decent topic for the forum?

I am definately a motorway junkie as my average monthly millage in my Astravan is very high. Averaging the millage on the clock with the fuel costs I spend approx: £700 per month on diesel alone and cover approx: 4600 miles a month. mostly on the M1 and M6.

Are you a motorway junkie? Whats your monthly approx milage?

Astravan for me too but only 2500 a month

And just think i used to do it in the Zed ...(mileage that is)

Allthough I spent over 4K on petrol last year for the Zed and thats not including personal use

I deliver cars all over uk and irleand i average 12000 miles a month yes thats twelve thousand miles a month, can vary from month to month from 6000 upto 14500 a month.Thats drivng the cars to there destination not using wagon.Longs hours and def a motorway junkie.

Mine was 1200-1600 per week when I was a Service Engineer for Dulux.

My area went from Manchester to Penzance and Newbury to Haverford West

So just the sw quater and all of Wales to cover. Loved the job but I got made redundent!!

My brand new Astra's covered nearly 1000 miles and I've had it just over a week, I guess I spend about £250 per month on fuel. Awful isn't it. I'd have nice amounts of disposable income if I didn't have to drive to so far to work,

....tell ya what though, MPG is not good on it and it's a diesel. I guess it's because it's new and needs running in. Hope the consumption goes up as it's kinda worrying,

They are good vans Si. Steve bet your car is glad of the rest now. Glad you got a company vehicle at last.

I thought my milage was high Muffy? Mind you in between the journeys I do a shift?

Gruntpa. Sorry to hear you lost your job mate. I nearly lost mine twice last year. Seems a bit more stable this year now tho? (fingers crossed).

12000 a month???? ****IN 'ELL! i do that in a year :D

however although i probably 1000 a month i still get through £250 a month in fuel. Ragging a leon cupra around wastes alot of money :hyper:

Im based in blackpool and we deliver evreywhere i think nothing of blackpool to cardiff then to brighton and back to blackpool in same day.I love driving and its good when i buy bits from people on here as i can collect as it only a matter of time before i pass somewhere near lol.
