so they leave

the week after my friend goes there again but this time has a nasty accident falls of his bike and fractures his skull

calls the ambulance, they turn up with 6 coppers

so should he send the court letter back saying guilty or not guilty,

im going with not guilty, he could plead ignorance and say the police had seen them and it was ok, also they went somewhere quiet to use the bike, and had no idea he had to have insurance!!

I'd go for not guilty, but you run the risk that if they find you guilty, they're generally more harsh cos of your not guilty plea!

yeah, a good covering letter saying what a good boy he has been, never been in trouble with the law before, that they went somwhere out of the way, and that the police said it was ok, & he had no idea about the insurance.

He cant plead not guilty mate. as for the cop previous, how can he prove that ? he can say god told him, same prove he has.

he was on a public road on a mini moto, he cant deny it mate. if he pleads not guilty, he will get fooked times 2

plead guilty, but plead that he wasnt aware of the facts, laws or the dangers.

Explain that since the accident he is aware how bad and dangerous these machines are, and has scrapped his. plead that his licence is valuable to his home life and job, and that he has genuine regret for the entire inccident.

and get him a fooking lawyer

thanks again guys for the great advise, will let you know how he gets on.

Dewi mate,

Kids on our estate using Mini-Motos have cops here quicker than Ben Johnson doing the 100 meters illegally on steroids! Trust me it's an easy nick for them...f\/ckers should go do something worth while and actually do their jobs which is Law Enforcement a.k.a. as catching crims! LOL :D

I wonder if your thoughts would change if one of them kids rode into your zed? or knocked your child / pet over?

No means having a go fella, but there is always a 2 sided coin in these things.

I agree there are many more important things that the cops could be doing, but i know if one hit my family or car, i'd be here slatting the old bill for not stopping them

Not really mate, most of the cop vans/cars that turn up are usually about an hour late after the little people have well and truly had their fun and f\/cked off!

Plus if you report an "incident" to the 5'O of today they either can't find you in time or can't be bothered to even make a visit...like say if someone has been murdered or burgalled. Trust me I know! To many of them sat on slip roads with LADAR guns all day when surely they could be used more effectively in proper good old fashioned police work.

word up t-pot. spot on!

a friends friend was seen riding one late at night on public roads lol. no lights obv, no helmet, no insurance etc etc. cops turned around and chased him but his hat came off and he went back for it haha. ended up hiding in someones garden behind a car, he could hear the cops looking for him in every garden. they were about to leave when one said to the other "have you looked in that one?" turns out he hadn't, went over and there he was crouching on the floor next to the minimoto LOL :D
