more importantly is there anywhere uk that does them?

seen a couple of greddy ones in the states, look pretty good. wondering if u could easily just fit one on a j spec and would it fit ok? could look pretty good, not keen on that style of nismo badge though, looks like a 5 year old did it with a crayon! i much prefer the red and black one, god knows why they change to the childish handwriting nismo badge!

I have one fitted on the rear (J-Spec) bumper and got pulled for it as they said that the numbers/letters were too small.....£60 fine !

Basically if you have 'proper' size characters these trims cover the outer edges apparently......and I hereby quote the policeman who gave me the ticket....."If you had a little girl who was run over by a car with a number plate like this who didn't stop and any witnesses couldn't read the number properly you wouldn't be very happy would you....sonny ? "

So now its hidden behind a normal plate.....

b*gger! thats another great idea down the pan! so its too small even for jap plates? wonder if somewhere could knock one up thatd fit.....

got one on my import, I want to get rid of it really but I can't see how to get it off so the plate is just fixed over the top of it.

nothing as far as I know, its just a chrome frame, with bulbs behind the plate for illumination.

I thought the law allowed an imported car to wear a number plate with the legal sized motorcycle letters? Which are smaller than a cars.

Theres a bit of a "get out" there somewhere?

As I've now got a very small front number plate I'm hoping that I can use that 'get out of jail' card :)

I dont thinks these trims are allowed in the uk /only us /you can have smaller letters on a jap import because the rear bumper wont allow for a big square uk plate big letters and on the front you should realy have a uk style big letter plate becuase it can fit no problem no small cutout on the front .The police can pull you for small letters on the front . Also you have to have a certain amount of reflective background around the numbers/letters not sure how many cms but these surrounds reduce the reflective background because the plates sit inside /behind it.
