I seem to have a strange noise from underneath when I start up.
There is also a grinding noise sometimes when I'm driving.
I have concerns it may have something to do with the auto box or maybe the torque converter.
I'm relatively new, so wouldn't want to get stitched up when I take it to a garage.
Does this sound like a common fault?, if so, could you advise as to what I should hear from a mechanic when I take it to a garage.
It may sound like a ridiculous request to some, but I have had work done in the past only to find out later that what they had done had nothing to do with the fault so I ended up spending loads of money needlessly.
I have a 1990 300ZX 2+2 N/A auto import.
