they have gone off, well the headlights have, ive tried changing the master switch, that didnt work have checked fuses under bonnet (uk car) they are ok, when i switch them on slowly the main beam flashes slightly

is there an earth anywhere that could be corroded or come loose, also when i put them on all the dash lights go dim and a red warning light that says lights comes on for abpout a minute then goes off

any ideas

cheers

my car is uk and yes they do have them look towards the front of the car on the plastic pillar panel right by the side of the acelerator pedal) you'll see a pull off flap fuses are under there

I doubt its a fuse if your getting a flash of light mate, i would say its an earth fault, easy way to test, run a new earth from battery to earth on lights and see if it works

z lights earth through the relays i'm guessing it's one of the footwell fuses i lost all my lights apart from 1 main beam that either stayed on or flashed turned out it was a fuse in the footwell i think it was a 10a
