Just thought I would post some pic's during the bodywork and widebody kit fitting. The pictures were took on Wednesday, the panels were just tacked up getting the shape right. Called in today and the panels are now fitted and they are working on blending the skirt/air duct into the rear arch.

Has been a bit slow recently, but im hoping the finished item will be worth the wait, especially as the bodyshop guy has a good eye for detail.

Might only be able to make the Sunday :( as im doing holiday cover that weekend, but might have to leave the machines to look after themselves just for the Sunday.

Totally forgot to post the pictures of the fuel filler relocation for you mate, sorry about that! Thought I had more but this one at least shows the final position. Essentially the pipe was cut and rotated 90 degrees from the stock position so it surfaces near the lower edge of the boot opposite the relocated (deep cycle) battery. I'll be finishing it off with an ally cover set into a fibreglass surround.

The final prepwork was being done yesterday on the shell, hopefully the shell would of been painted today, then the build up starts and the doors and bonnet and hatch will be painted.

Easy! keep buying more stuff while the car is off the road. Just ordered a lovely set of 5 spoke deep dished 19" wheels and a full Stoptech big brake kit, front and rear.

Hows Your Wallet[ Never Mind Its Looking Very Good ]

Lol! Thinking of advertising a few parts in the for sale section next week, possibly one arm and maybe even one leg for sale!

Barry

Looking good, man! I'm gonna make a custom widebody kit for my blue Z...Seeing all the process pics from your Z, makes it really hard for me to wait!! I'm going to make a custom rear bumper, side skirts and wide rear arches to compliment my custom front bumper...That's gonna take even longer that your project tho :(

Keep the updates coming!

What's the reason for removing the glass then?

I know you've got money burning holes in your pockets but doesn't this add to the costs?

Looking great Baz, hopefully not much longer now......................
