BOOM she went ballistic saying i sould stop messin about with cars and get my head sorted.I asked what she ment and her reply was and i quote "I WANT A HOUSE AND KIDS NOT A SPORTS CAR". Seriously bud, you are too young to settle down. Explain to her that if you both settle down now, then when your both in your thirties you could get itchy feet!! ;) Better to live now and have the fun of youth and settle down when your both about thirty'ish. Then the Zed will be a classic and worth a fourtune :D

TBH mate if you arent ready for all that then stand your ground-I had a lovely girlfriend joint bank account/half ownership of a car etc but when she mentioned kids and moving into our own place i got out,got half my savings back and went and bought a Skyline at 20 lol.Everyone of my girlfriends since has had a problem with my fanaticism with cars and my most recent one left me when i said the Zed was going to be off the road for a month (who said girls arent with blokes for their cars lol!)Though my girlfriend i have now really takes an interest in my Zed-i wonder how long that will last when she finds out how much of my money i really spend on it.lol

Recently I went through a similar thing with my wife tbmh (the beautiful money hoover)

Anyway, I wanted to spend some money on my zed, 12k to be precise. "Noooo" she screams "you can fooook that for a game of soldiers"

 

Now read carefully besause I will only type this once.

 

I bought her a new kitchen and bathroom.

 

So my 12k upgrade cost me as little as £27,000.

Yeah it seams to me that girls who loves cars are hard to come bye.But when i went to japfest and a jap meet at castle coombe there was loads attractive girls with a passion for cars.Personaly i dont think they live on this planet lol.

Mate, do what makes you happy. If your not ready for kids and settling down and she makes you do it, you will just resent her for it. Either explane to her and if she loves you she will be ok. If not and she gets moody about it, find another woman who is wanting the same things. The only ones ive met so far ask why i havent got neons (no offence to those with neons lol) and when im going to get some lexus rears.

Yes I am 38 with no kids yet but you have to find a suitable partner.

How old is she mate? If she wants all that knowing your only 22 then thats very worrying. I own my own house but I'm not ready for my girlfriend moving in and kids and I'm nearly 33! You should enjoy the time you have now not having much responsibility and not have to worry about any of that grown up stuff!

What's the rush?!! It's her hormones telling her she needs to have children NOW!!! Lol.

What you have to rememeber is that in the past, 1,000's years ago, we only lived to 30-35yrs old so we had to get cracking on the old child production front. Unfortunately, we still have the same instincts, it's only those of us that challenge the instinctive thoughts that don't get stuck with 3 kids at 20yrs old!!

 

Changing the topic slightly, I was chatting to a girl down the road last night who owns a 2CV. She does all the maintenance work herself & actually races it too! How cool is that, a girl that likes to get her hands dirty :cool: . She seemed really interested in the Zed! Shame she's got a boyfriend though, otherwise I'd have asked her out :(

 

Still, she's come & spoken to me quite a few times now :) perhaps she's bored ;)

i'm 40 and my wife is ace, i get the kids to bed and then most nights i'm out with the lads talking/breathing/living everything cars.. she doesnt mind at all and supports me spending on the car 100% as we have an arrangement, the money i spend on the car is money I earn from guvvys.. so it never comes out of the family pot (also have 2 kids)..

 

and theres me thinking the grass might be greener on the other side.. lol..
