Boost readings on warm idle?

Having ventured deep into technical forum terroriry, I noticed a post by Aaron with a picture of his instrument panel.

Someone mentioned that his boost gauge was reading low on warm idle.. I have photographed my gauge on warm idle and was wondering if I have a boost pipe leak:

There are two pix, one stock gauge and the other my GReddy gauge, which reads in mmhg or kg/cm ... what do you think:

Thanks for the replies in advance smile.gif

Glenski fruit bat of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas fame,

Was a bit worried about my Cadburys boost gauge this week! Was spinning back to virtually -14 psi on throttle lift off! Yours is same place but in Freddy Mercury units! Top dollar. wink.gif

Is that 100 miles from full?

Looks to me like your Greddy is saying pretty much the same as your stock gauge. Incidentally my stock psi one is in about the very same position on idle. You will get it almost to the minus 700mm on over run foot off throttle.

How well an engine sucks against the throttles is (or used to be) a good indicator of the state of your piston rings and valve seats. Also 100 miles from full also gets me to the half way point on fuel!
