Make sure the connection to the ecu is nice and tight ... if it isn't it can cause problems ...

 

not too tight though .. don't want to break anything, particularly the harness ..

If it started playing up after the chip change dude-I would certainly start there!-make sure the connector is on square and no pins are bent!-easy done! :)

I've had my car for a month or so, drove it about 5-6 times and the engines coming out now cause its fooked!!!!!!

Only problem i've had is my speedo, its been 3 weeks now and i've tried just about everything! Still doesn't work, so naturally, my Hicas doesn't work, my cruise control doesn't work, my gear changes are high, all cos a stupid needle doesn't want to move! But as annoying as it is, you have to laugh, what other car can cause so much enjoyment by tormenting you!

I even tried the crying thing, but now i've resorted to a slightly crazy laugh!

Got a pulse from the gearbox, and a pulse up behind the clocks, the convertor box has been replaced and still nothing! Thinking of fitting uk spec clocks and doing away with the convertor completely!

oh sod it I felt like smashing it up with the hard end of a ratchet I guess its koyo rad for me and a jerky drive to ztech or zen garage:(

try ebay in america do a search for howe rads for the 300zx I had one on mine when my rad burst :rolleyes: or try Z1motorsports you will have it with in a week

thanks jd ill check those howe rads out I think chris from get greedy has a koyo rad lined up for me to be honest any rad will do this bloody thing hasnt moved in three months oh and fingers there just ebay el glow clocks nothing special

i no a place that can reconditon the rad put a new core in and reseal any joints that are cracked etc there based in crystal palace ,arron radiators they did my pas toyota hiace rad for 115, and it looked like brand new , as they also resprayed it as well , where as toyota wanted 425 for new rad !!!

plus im sure someone is breaking a zed on here

cheers paul although I dont think you can recon this one it blow the top hose connection to peices and if I have to buy a new one I might as well buy one of those fancy koyo or howe things;)

With Koyo's I do'nt think the original radiator fan shrouds will not fit IIRC
