First i would like to say hi and before anyone thinks original user name, i have had it for years as i am a eZX primera P10 enthusiast and run a rare UK development 4x4 sr20det with 310bhp@ FW. With this being off the road for a while a bought an immaculate 91 NA, 47k with some jap service history and uk service history. One thing is that i paid 3k for her (private) which seemed a lot. I was looking for months and although they start for a grand, tt`s as well it seemed this was what you had to pay for an A1 NA and 5-6k + for an A1 TT. Just want to check i paid the right money for a car of this standard?

On to my second point. I have heard so many different insurance quotes i was not sure what to expect. Being 36, from surrey with 7 yrs NCB, a SP30 and ticking all the correct boxes quotes were coming back at £1000+ fully comp. Adrian flux being the worse at £1200. After hours on the phone and PC i got this down to £598 through GSI. Am i being taken for a mug or is this amount about right?

Anyway thanks for any help i receive and i look forward to conversing with you in the near future.

leigh.

As for insurance I am 30 live in Exeter Devon 5 years NCB through a subscribed members 300zx.co.uk only insurance policy £470 F/C.

Welcome bud , i would reccomend Houghtons Insurance as found on this forum , i,m 39 full n/c , paid £288 fully comp, limited to 5000miles a year  HTH

I am 39 living in East Yorkshire with 7 years NCB, I re newed with NU Direct this year at 398 pounds Fully Comp with business travel, shop around lots as last year I got many stupid quotes. You can noe get cover on future classic policies these are the cheaapest option but have restrcited mileage.

I paid 2,700 for my jap import 1990 TT with 34K and some history 14 months ago, I was looking for ages and the guy selling was desperate for cash, you sound as though you got a similar deal hope you enjoy your car as much as I do mine.

dammit i live in the same postcode as you and i have to pay £750! i tried classic insurance but was told the car had to be stored on driveway/garage overnight so i couldn't do it! where abouts in EN3 are you Syed? i'm in the island village?

I'm in Enfield Highway off Brick Lane near Green Street roundabout, about a mile and a half away from you dude ! Thats a total rip off in my opinion. Yes I have a driveway and garage but this is astronomical pricing !

Welcome to the club bud.. i payed 4k for my SeriesIII late 93 jap N/a but i did get a ton of goodies all ready on it ... sounds like you got a good deal ... whether it was 2k or 10k .. all great cars coz theyre all Zeds

Thanks, for the replies guys. She is standard apart from full greddy/trust system and apexi filter. So for the money i got a couple of goodies myself i guess. As for the insurance i managed to get quotes for just under £500 after seeing some of the figures on here but stayed with gsi. Supposedly my CR (croydon) postcode does throw up some high premiums, well i never! LOL.
