Insurance will probably be bad at 19.

 

There's an NA (Non Turbo) and a Twin Turbo in the japenese models

Also you can have a SWB with is a 2 seater or you can get a LWB is is a 2+2 seater

 

Or you can get a UK 2+2 TT

Ther are slick tops and targa tops as well.

insurance is gonna be a pain in the arse. adrianflux is ok for me (im 20) if you get a uk car you can get cheap classic car insurance

Go for a jap spec ( sorry officials, i meant japanese specification!!!!) TT, they're wicked fun! Targa top as its coming up to summer and seat wise, depends if you wanna squeeze people in the back! Nah!

My son is 19 and he wants to drive my 300zx but unfortunately for him he hasnt got a chance YET! he agrees that 23 is a more sensible age to own or drive a car such as this. Until you have acctually had the experiance of driving or being a passenger then you cant guage just how powerful it is. Yes you can read what us owners write about speed and power but believe me in the wrong hands this car TT or N/A is a lethal weapon. Be patient mate and one day when you are ready you will no doubt have the oppertunity to own probably the most exciting car available to the working class man?

The Z32 (that's what we all have) is available as twin turbo or no turbo (NA). The NAs are all imports.

 

Single turbo 300ZX are the previous model, the Z31.

 

You do also get slick top or trage roof variants as well as short wheel base (two seater) and long wheel base (2+2). And obviosuly manual and auto!

 

Get some insurance quotes. An NA or a UK TT may be cheapest but at 19 it probably won't be cheap....

At 19 you will probably be looking at £2000+ for a twin turbo, thats if anyone will insure you at all!

Surely, if your already driving a 911, then your paying through the nose for your insurance anyway! Being a group 20! Whereas the TT is only group 18!

first and only question can u afford to look after/fix/maintain the zed? a 3ltr TT is in a whole new league in fuel consumption/repair bills/general maint compared to a crx 1.6 4 pot, though a nice car they are, i used to have one many yrs back.

 

just i'd hate to see another good zed turn to a nail as so many of them do :(

I dont own a 911 i have just driven one,

 

I spend all my money on my car, i hate seeing crx's in a bad state, would love too have a zx and i can afford it as i have a cheap run about as well it would be used for special dayz only prob i got is insurance i will have to find a way round this
