You can still contact the courier service as it's worth a try mate, just say you where not home when it arrived and it was to big and heavy for your girlfriend to inspect but you have inspected it and it's been damaged in transit and your not happy.

ive looked on the courier website and it says that the seller has to claim . i will contact him but its not his fault so lets wait and see.

why can't these bloody couriers just be careful with the parcels. im gutted as the bonnet was mint!!!

Best thing for you to do is check the packaging for damage, if thats damaged then keep it cause the courier will ask to see it so they can send it off for damage inspection. That should give you the right to claim for damaged in transit or the couriers will claim from the senders for insufficiant packing.

The reason i know this is cause i work for UPS :x: an yes i have heard all the jokes  But really, more often than not the senders are to blaim as they use some real sh+tty packing.....if any

Was it the original pakcaging for the bonnet? If so you're ok and can claim, if not then they will deem it as not packaged properly and you've no claim.

it is a second hand bonnet. so no! doesnt excuse the pure incompetance of the courier.

Well, if the courier say the seller must claim, then i think its comman courtesy that he does just that.

All imho
