JML Steam Genie

Whaddya reckon to this.

Have been advised to get one for a retrim, and was gonna get it until I read all the reviews on Amazons website by customers.

They're not right happy - a few people said it was ok, but the majority crap.

Think it was pk1 who said they're good.

Just after any other comments as it would be good for wheels etc.

I may pick one up on the way home from work.

Im leaving at 4 and just wanted some feedback on people who have one.

I dont own one but used one once, had a go and cleaning the seats in the car I use for work, which means the seats would be a bit grubby and it made no difference.

the jml ones are ok there is another one as well that i used as well which was more powerful.

jay as you have never used a steamer on fabric before i would just do the contact adhesive and leave it at that, however for more movement time you can thin it a bit.

go here this is where i got mine from.. 3.5bar on this one very good.. and not too much either, cheaper than the karcher one i used to have and better.

steaming leather and vinyl isnt easy mind, if your not sure what you are doing then dont do it. i keep a steamer for cleaning etc, but if you stretch the fabric too far or it doesnt want to go into a certain corner , then the steamer will help it go back to its origional shape and its good for moulding, make sure you have to former tools also if not make some.

Cheers PK, gonna give the steamer a miss.

Reet, Been out and bought a JML Cleaner.

Verdict : Toss, complete and utter toss.

Im not saying the other one PK is on about is bad but dont touch the JML with a barge pole!!! It didnt touch the oven door, and barely removed last nights dinner from a plate. I tried it on the hob - didnt touch it. Tried it on a bit of gunk under the bonnet - I get better results with an oily rag.

Its going back tomorrow :)
