Anybody got a picture of the rear uk spec seatbelt and how it mounts? got to fit one to my car and looking at the belt im confused how it all mounts up.

Featured Replies

I have posted pics before of the car as I did it which shows it all stripped out and the mounting points but they are not on my pc anymore, a search might bring them up.

Cheers mate, ill have a search again, but that give me a good idea on the top mounting anyway :)

This is all from memory so may not be 100%, the top mounting you will see when you remove that piece of trim, make some measurements and drill through the trim in hopefully the right place. Measure and cut the piece of trim you see in the second picture, again hopefully in the right place, the mounting for that again was already there, i bolted it in, offered up the trim then cut it and found a piece of trim in the workshop to finish it off. The last 2 mountings are where the lap belt already is and a straight swap. HTH Richard.

luckily the bottom section of kit came with the UK spec trim so it has the gap already for the belt top come through, its just the top mount i need to drill. just need to work out which way round the reel goes in lol.

When you get that trim out it must be self explanitary because I did it without any headscratching just bolted it straight in. If any of you guys take your kids out in your imported Zed this is a must do mod, those lap belts are a waste of time.

Wow, I'd swear that's my screw driver in that pic. Suspect it's Ajay's car when I was installing the traction control ....

It does, once they are fitted they should pull out fine.
