December 27, 200025 yr ...Where's the best place to get a replacement, and how much should I pay? The Z32 engine seems to need a lot of juice to get going on these cold/damp mornings...and not using the car over Xmas seems to finally have taken it's toll. JEZ300Z
December 28, 200025 yr Extrimely difficult....:-) First of all, get your battery out, and measure the dimensions....and the location of the + and the - connector. Mine is 17 x 26 x 20 cm If possible, look on the battery the AMPERAGE for it, the stock Nissan if 70 A/h Then go to your local supermarket, and get a compatible one....based on the dimentions...and the LOCATION of the PLUS and MINUS. You can get an amperage between 60 to 130 A/h, would work (but I do not have a "I-want-to-be-a-PITA-to-my-neighbours-and-be-deaf-by-40" stereo in my Z
December 28, 200025 yr I just replaced mine, it lasted 4 years. Just go to your local Tyre/Battery fitter. (I used East Grinstead tyres). For £55 or so they will fit an exact replacement, mine fits like a glove. If they just loosen the back retaining nut as far as they dare and completely remove the front bolt, the old and new batteries can be exchanged easily. I am on my third battery and they last, around four years. Bill
December 28, 200025 yr I bought mine a few years back from Nissan as I didn't want to end up with a less capable clone, although I'm sure most replaceements will be fine. FYI... £65 inc vat "Still Going!"
December 28, 200025 yr i dont know wether costco sell the battery for the z but there batterys are cheep
January 15, 200125 yr Finally fitted new battery after getting bored with jump starting the Z everytime it gets cold/damp in the mornings(most days!). The difference to the general running of the engine is quite noticeable...the old battery must have been well shot. I'm suprised by the difference a new battery can make. JEZ300Z
