Hi all.

Ok , the silver finish on my winderscreen wipers (the actual metal arm) are all fading quite a bit - not rusting just faded, does anyone know or has anyone already attepmted at spraying them - silver? If so what kind of spray etc?

Thanks

Ed

get yourself a wire brush attatchemnt for your drill, and use that to remove all the coating, use an acid etch primer, and then use something like plasti-kote or pectra paint to re-spray , then apply a good sealer/laquer.

i did mine ages ago posted link the other week also redid my roof trims and window trims

Why do Nissan arms go like that?

My Skyline arms went exactly the same way.

Most Japanese ones go like that for some reason. The main base casting is alloy which just turns to oxide and the actual arm is made from Stainless steel and flakes off as opposed to the mild steel of the Eurobox cars.

Mine all look like brand new along with all the rain gutters, so I'm kinda lucky.

Could always go for a Renault Laguna or Vauxhall Vivaro(twin door) rear wiper.

bin it mate - and plug the hole with a grommet until you can get it filled properly - looks so much better smooth
