    Virtual Private Network.

     

    I always use Cisco, but due to US military export regulations on encryption algorithms it's use is controlled.

    If you want to run a VPN to need a central point that is the host and all traffic is routed through that. So say you have 4 PC's wanting to do stuff with each other across the Internet but as if they are in a LAN (but with internet speed) Then you need a host system with a static IP that has a fast connection . Upload speeds on non business broadband is naff.

     

    There are £100+ routers that have some sort of basic VPN capability or you could get some software to do it. Gimme a shout on Messenger thursday night as i am back from Germany late tonight.
