If I buy the reg no. B18 ROY, and stick a little bit of plastic on the eight to resemble "g". Whats the worst that could happen legally with the plod?

A friend of mine had a Lambo Diablo with the plate R 14MBO. Plod made him change it to

R14 MBO. The fact that he bought it from Lamborghini UK with the original plate didn't wash with them.......

1 grand, f**k me, a copper mate just told me it wouldnt be a criminal offence so its a fixed penalty (if they could be bothered ) of 30 to 40 quid.

 

Must just be lambo owners that get 1K fines, they can afford it!

I've got a 70mm high plate with 50mm text on the front, spelling HARVE, no spacings etc at all!

I've been stopped-looked at-producers-& cautions.....not 1 point on my licence or a fine ever.

As long as they can read it correctly from 25yards 'the highway limit' ??? your ok. So im told.
