Dump valves (fuel)

I fancy buying some (just for the sound as never had them before), but slightly put off by:

when dumping (car normally dosen't) the system must bring in more air hence more fuel? Is this not a problem? confusing the ecu, un burnt fuel maybe.

    thats right. people on here dont seem to consider it a problem, which is a bit odd as if you go on an MR2 forum they will tell you its a major problem.

    This isnt the case, what happens is the air flow meter will measure the air coming into the system. The ecu will then decide the appropriate fuel to add to the mixture. When the BOV activates the air is released into the atmos rather than back into the system like recircs do. So therefore you will have more fuel than air in the system.

     

    This is very slight and ive not noticed a difference in fuel consumption or smelt fuel etc.
