I'm not talking about a trip to the beach or anything (although that would be quite nice as well when the weather warms up), I'm interested in getting my Z checked over and would like to know where abouts in and around Suffolk to take it.

Thanks folks

I take mine to Ztech (long drive but worth it). Have heard of a couple of companies in Essex but never tried them.

..what sort of Z? TT or NA? ...if it's NA, I've been servicing my NA Z's for the last 7 years so if it's DIY i can advise. I'm in Ipswich. If it's general service, replace clutch etc, a TT owning friend always used to use Bramford Motor engineering on Bramford Road in Ipswich - they seem ok, but are generalists as opposed to specialists. There's also Lorven Performance at Martlesham on 01473 610102 - they've a rolling road and do quite a few Z's - highest BHP Z they do is allegedly running 600 bhp...

Good luck

It's a TT and I'm really just after someone giving it the once over for me as it's been many years since I owned a Z. I'm happy to do regular oil changes and I don't mind getting my hand dirty now and again, but generally would get someone else to do any major work when needed.

Reading lots of the threads here it's easy to get worried that it will fall apart any moment, but I know with a bit of care (and lots of money :( ) it can be a car I enjoy for as many years as I wish to.

I'll keep an eye out next time I'm going down Bramford road as I often use it as route into work.

Cheers,

Gaz

...if you drive down Bramford Road, watch out for me, I live in Bramford. Midnight purple '97 NA.
