Well finally got it all back together.

Started her up and she ran really bad so checked the fuel pressure and the adjustable FPR was set to full so checked the gauge and it was off the scales  ;) so turned it down to a nice 3.5 bar on idle and ran alot better.

So took her for a quick spin to see if the whole project actually worked!!!!!!

looks good mate - bet you cant wait to have it mapped!! :)

i cant mate

even now its running a bit rich due to the much bigger injectors but doesnt run too bad and when i gave it a quick blip on the throttle over 3000 revs it just boosts mate was at 1.3 bar in a flash

my AEM will be here in the next 2 weeks so going to book my car in the week after ;)

Mike

Fuel pressure should be 3bar at idle with the vac line pulled off, not 3.5. Will be making it a little rich too.

Nice to see it's coming together :)

once it warms up it does go to just over 3 bar but being as the previous map was not that good anyway it runs very well

will have a play with the fpr to see if it need lowering a little.

looking real good there kirbz get a vid of it on the rollers bet it sounds awsome

If you don't mind me asking kirbz, how much has it cost to get your engine to this stage of tuning. maybe one day when the kids leave home and the wife runs off i can spend some money on my Z.

lol i dont think we can count that high with a couple of abacuses lol

i suppose its a difficult one as this is my 2nd zed ive modded.

the first one i threw a fortune at it and did every thing apart from the turbos, paid for them but they never turned up but thats another story lol prob spent £10k on my old zed

this one i bought ready tuned but it had a few bits that let it down, mainly the lack of pipework on the turbos which actually restricted the air flow so it meant we had to pull the engine so while we were doing that i decided to go the whole hog and get it to its full potencial :) spent so far on this project??? got to be pushing another £10k :wack: :slap:

Mike

well done kirbz.

looking forward to seeing it on the road , about time there was one more zed roaming about in morecambe ,

Had a drive of this today     foooooooooooooooooookin lovin the screamer pipes & wastegate chatter :nana2::nana2::nana2:

The OS Giken Triple plate clutch is also sweet as a nut, not at all heavy or clunky as some people said.

For a car that's unmapped it's quite frankly astonishing. Roll on the AEM engine management i'm supplying and 2 bar of boost :nana2:
