i have managed to get a new set of the fiamm ferrari dual tone airhorns with the small tube compressor. there is also a relay with them and all the pipe work.

if i use the live and neutral/earth feed off one of the old horns onto the bottom two spade connectors on the comprerssor is that fine? i take it i wouldnt need the relay then as the old horns go through a fuse and relay already?

im going to fit today, just need to know that is ok?

er.. bit confused now.. i just had someone tell me i cant do it that way..

i was told that its not a good idea and that i would need to take the feed in from the old horns to the relay and then to the compressor... im fookin comnused..

can i take a live feed direct from the battery with a 20amp inline fuse, and then use the negative/earth from the horn run to swith it? just tape off the old live feeds?

so its less pull on those flimsy wires?

i have got them fitted just need to know whats the best way to wire them up now.

is the horn on the zed postive or ground activated?

pic attatched.. anyone?????

last try... anyone??? :headvswal

it's ground activated from the relay but the horn gets a positive feed i would say try them with the original feeds if that does not work wiring in another relay will be a piece of cake ( i can sort it for you when we do the heater) hth

do you realise it took 100 other views before one person could be fookin bothered to reply..

if im gonna be fookin ignored have the decency to tell me..

I think you should use the relay with heavier cable on the 'high power' side.

The horn is probably not polar so +ve/-ve doesn't matter. (I think!)

Si, Chill out bud!!

Give em a chance!!! Jeeeeeeeeeeez!!

well the plan is to take a live feed from the battery, put an in-line 20 amp fuse, the take them to the live in on the relay, output from the relay to the mini compressor. but i need a feed from one of the horns wires for the other connection. and the realy has two ways for wiring one has a loop to it.

the only problem is the relay has two settings, positive activation or gound activation from the horn button on the wheel

it's easy to do on the top of the relay you should see a switch marked between 2 pins and 2 with a coil between them, you take your 20 amp feed to one of the swith terminals and the other side of the switch to your positive on the compressor the 2 pins with the coil between them you earth one to the car body and take the live feed from your exsisitng horns to the other job done
