I reckon the ton of feathers would easily whip the ass of the lead as I blew away some lead with my feathers easily once I was over the 100 mark

Oh you do do ya Dylan mate? biggrin.gif

Well I've owned both and trust me when I say that the ton of feathers being the lighter would cain the lead big time on the twisties!!! Lead is far too lardy but can get away cleaner!!! wink.gif

Tim depends if the ton of feathers had the Macca brake discs in it biggrin.gif!

Yeah, but get them both on the track where it really matters and the lighter weight of the feathers means the lardy lead will get totally destroyed (just look at Caterhams on the track vs modded Skylines etc). The feathers are much easier to stop and suffer much less fade from overheating after a few laps.

Fair point mate, but once the lead gets chundering down the straight the poofy, light arsed feathers are gonna struggle to keep up! LOL biggrin.gif

But I reckon the feathers are gonna suffer wind resistance problems though! Lead is nice and solid and the wind turbulence won't be a problem. However, the rufflyness of the feathers means more wind resistance and extra drag! Feathers are stuffed like a pillow bud! Game over!!! biggrin.gif

Right, this means war!

Get yer lead down to the track and I'll bring me feathers and we can sort this out once and for all

Just name a place and time, or are you too chicken?

errr... a ton of feathers and a ton of lead weigh roughly the same, what with there being a ton of each of them smile.gif rolleyes.gif.

however, (assuming the same - powerful! - engine and decent brakes on both of them) the feathers are going to get stuffed (no pun intended) by the lead. way too much air resistance and they just aint stiff enough to make it round a corner with all four wheels on the ground. also, when feathers piles it in it's going to get a bit mangled.

saying that, feathers is going have SUPERB braking; all that wind resistance again.

lead, on the other hand, would be reasonably stiff (may have to hammer the corners back down every now and again) and should be able to corner ok. braking will be pants (unless it's a targa top with a no holes in the back like a z - knocks loads off the top end having the lids off and windows down even if it does look cool biggrin.gif) but it shouldn't take more than a hammer to beat it back into shape when things get a bit, er, out of shape. also, lead can cope with an old engine even if there's no 4 star around...

all in all, i'll put a couple of bob on the lead and cheat by driving round the pillow-stuffer's place.
